Clay County, on the river.

Orange Park.
Orange Park sits in the northeast corner of Clay County on the St. Johns River. It was founded in 1877 and incorporated in 1879, on land that was once the Laurel Grove plantation, and had 9,089 residents in 2020. It was named for orange groves that the Great Freeze of 1894 and 1895 wiped out.
River Road.
The River Road Historic District is a tree lined stretch along the river. Moosehaven, a 63 acre retirement community, has been here since 1922. Older homes get products matched to their floors, tile and cabinetry.
Close to NAS Jacksonville.
NAS Jacksonville is less than 6 miles away and is a major employer for people who live here. Move-out cleans come with a photo report for the housing office or landlord.
Fleming Island.
Fleming Island has water on every side: the St. Johns River, Doctors Lake, Black Creek and Swimming Pen Creek. Eagle Harbor and Fleming Island Plantation are its main communities, and the island is named for George Fleming, whose Hibernia plantation dates to 1790. Leave access instructions and you do not need to be home.
Oakleaf Plantation.
Oakleaf started in 2002 and covers 6,400 acres across Clay and Duval counties along the First Coast Expressway. It has about 10,000 housing units, two water parks and 15 miles of paths. First visits spend time inside cabinets and tracks.
Middleburg.
Middleburg sits on Black Creek, about 26 miles southwest of Jacksonville. First called Garey's Ferry, it was the Clay County seat from 1858 to 1874, and the Clark-Chalker House dates to 1835.
