Construction cleaning questions.

What does post construction cleaning include?

A full deep clean plus the construction work. Dust is wiped off walls, ceilings, ledges, vents, light fixtures and trim. Cabinets, drawers and closets are cleaned inside and out. Window tracks and sills are cleared, the film is taken off counters, glass and tile, and the floors are done last.

How much does post construction cleaning cost?

It is priced by the square foot: $0.13 per square foot, with a $110 minimum. A 2,000 square foot home is $260. Choose post-construction in the booking form, enter the square footage, and you see your price right away.

How long does post construction cleaning take?

It depends on the square footage and how much dust the work left. A single remodeled room is a much shorter job than a whole house. Tell us which rooms were worked on when you book and we plan the visit around it.

What is a final clean in construction?

It is the last clean after the trades are finished and before the owner moves in. Builders call it a final clean or post-construction cleaning. Homeowners usually call it construction cleaning or construction clean up. It is the same job.

Do you clean after a remodel or renovation, or only new construction?

All three. New builds, additions, whole-home renovations and single-room remodels like a kitchen or bathroom.

How do you clean construction dust?

From the top down. Ceilings, vents and light fixtures first, then walls, ledges and trim, then inside cabinets and along window tracks, and the floors last. Working in that order keeps dust from falling onto a surface that is already clean.

Is construction dust harmful?

Fine dust from drywall, sanding and cutting can irritate the eyes, throat and lungs, and it keeps moving through a home until it is removed. That is why it needs to come off every surface, including vents and the inside of cabinets, before anyone moves in.

How soon after the work ends should the cleaning happen?

After the last trade is done. If anyone is still sanding, cutting or painting, the dust comes right back.

Do you remove construction debris?

We clean dust, residue and light debris from surfaces and floors. Bulk material removal and haul-away are outside the scope of a cleaning visit. Tell us what is on site and we will confirm what is included.

Is a post-construction clean the same as a deep clean?

It is a full deep clean plus the construction work: dust, residue and light debris on every surface, inside cabinets and along every track.

What if something is not right after the clean?

If something isn't right, let us know and we'll come back to fix it for free.
